The KYLBN held its first annual Golf Classic Saturday April 29th at Kearney Hills Golf Course in Lexington. The event was kicked off with a Day at the Races Friday at Keeneland, followed by a Celebrity Reception/Auction that evening at Coldstream Center. Jack Pattie, of local radio fame, emceed the event that featured both silent and live auctions, great food, and lots of fun! The weather Saturday morning was brisk, but teams had a great time on the links. Congratulations to Chase, the winning team! The KYBLN would like to thank all the celebrities who lent their time and energy to the weekend: Julian Carroll, Honorary Chair, Louie Dampier, Dan Issel, Ryan Lemond, Bill Meck, Jack Pattie, and Mike Pratt. A special thanks also goes out to our Chair, Ron Harrison, UK-IHDI, the members of the planning committee, and all the volunteers that worked tirelessly to make this event a success. The KYBLN looks forward to this becoming an annual event, so please start putting your teams together for 2007! Jim Kimbrough, with KY Protection & Advocacy will provide a brief update on Kentucky’s Medicaid Buy In program.
